Discovering Blacklick: Exploring the Best of Franklin and Licking Counties
The community is situated approximately 13 miles east of downtown Columbus and covers an area of about 6 square miles.
Blacklick was originally settled in the early 1800s and was named after a nearby creek that runs through the area. The community grew as more people discovered the fertile land and abundant natural resources, including timber and wildlife.
Over the years, Blacklick has continued to evolve and change. Today, it is a growing community that is home to a mix of residential and commercial areas. The community is known for its natural beauty, with parks, trails, and other outdoor spaces providing plenty of opportunities for recreation and relaxation.
Blacklick is also home to a number of schools, including several public and private schools, as well as a branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. The community is served by a variety of local businesses, including restaurants, shops, and other services.
Despite its growth and development, Blacklick has managed to maintain a strong sense of community, with residents coming together for events, festivals, and other activities throughout the year.
